BAYTUL BARAKAH

RESIDENTIAL PROJECT

KASHOR ROAD, MYMENSINGH.

Urbanization is rapidly encroaching into suburban and rural areas, replacing fertile lands with sprawling buildings. As an architect, it's crucial to innovate ways to minimize our environmental impact while maximizing functionality. "Baytul Barakah" exemplifies this philosophy by integrating climate-conscious design with nature. This compact 24' x 24' footprint provides over 2500 sq. ft. of vertical living space, accommodating multigenerational families harmoniously. Its rooftop garden not only enhances greenery but also utilizes vertical planting, reclaiming ground space. Inside, innovative vertical circulation optimizes every inch, even under staircases, enhancing usability. With only four columns and cantilevered stairs, the structure achieves expansive interiors, housing five bedrooms, living areas, a kitchen, and service spaces with provisions for a lift. Each facade is meticulously designed for climate responsiveness, ensuring ample natural light and ventilation, minimizing the sense of confinement. "Baytul Barakah" serves as a model for sustainable urban living, promoting the conservation of ground-level green spaces—a testament to the potential of vertical architecture in a densely urbanizing world.
